Luciano Soares da Cruz

Doutorado em Óptica Quântica e Física Atômica pela Universidade de São Paulo (2005)

Bacharel em Física pela Universidade de São Paulo (USP) em 1999. Doutor (doutorado direto) em Física pela Universidade de São Paulo (USP) na área de Óptica Quântica e Física Atômica sob a orientação do Professor Paulo Nussenvzveig em 2005. Realizou, por dois anos, estágio de pesquisa Pós-Doutorado na Universidade Estadual de Campinas (Unicamp), atuando no Grupo de Lasers e Aplicações sob a supervisão do Professor Flávio Cruz, com enfase em resfriamento e aprisionamento de átomos Alcalinos Terrosos e desenvolvimento de lasers. Atuou como pesquisador Pós-Doutorado vinculado ao grupo do professor Aephraim Steinberg na University of Toronto ( U of T, Canadá) na área de Informação Quântica Experimental com Sistemas Atômicos por dois anos. Desde Fevereiro de 2010, está contratado como professor na Universidade Federal do ABC (UFABC), atuando nas áreas de Ótica e Física Atômica para aplicações em Informação Quântica e Espectroscopia para aplicações Biológicas.


Physics degree from the University of São Paulo ( USP ) in 1999. PhD in Physics from the University of São Paulo ( USP ) in Quantum Optics and Atomic Physics under the supervision of Professor Paulo Nussenvzveig in 2005 . Postdoctoral stage for two years at the State University of Campinas ( Unicamp ), working with the Lasers and Applications Group under the supervision of Professor Flávio Cruz, with emphasis on cooling and trapping of alkaline earth atoms and development of lasers. Postdoctoral researcher with the Prof. Aephraim Steinberg group at the University of Toronto ( Canada ) in the area of Experimental Quantum Information with Atomic Systems for two years. Since February 2010, is a professor at the Federal University of ABC ( UFABC ) , working in the areas of Optics and Atomic Physics for applications in quantum information and Spectroscopy for Biological Applications.
